Got to the beach at about 10:30am, few kites out only. Rigged a 4.5m cos it was really blowing, with decent surf piling in. Onshore conditions with about 10 degrees to get an angle out to sea on starboard tack. Nice for hitting the ramps, and then good backside rides on the way back in. Waves were waist to chest high, steep and pretty clean despite onshores. 4.5m was really easy, plenty of nice carves and aerials without the rig being torn out of my hands. As the tide pushed up the whitewater increased, and at the same time the wind eased back. Packed up at 12 rather than rig big.
